so i'm getting one step closer to....

woo hoo. i bought a ZC Speed plate from xsvfun on here... i know i have to do some chopping down but never the less i'm one step close to rocking these on my JDM ZC dd engine. all i need now is a ODB1 JDM dist.

here's my ZCSpeed plate w/my custom ITB flange made for me from a D15b2 flange and some pipes and my CBR1000RR itbs. i will be using my CBR600RR itbs cause i'll be a DD so i won't be trying to pull massive power.

and here's my plate from behind with the intake manni on.

I couldn't imagine a finer use for that plate than for making something like that.

Re: so i'm getting one step closer to....

the last time i measured for ITB's you want no shorter than 15" i think it was from valve stem to tip of the velocity stack. That is taking into account the rev range and power band of the ZC motor. Any shorter and your power band will be to high to have any usable power. You also don't want the too long and have everything down low with no midrange. What is the plate size on those Throttle bodies anyway? You should be using 929 throttle bodies as they are the perfect size for a D series.

i'm still undecided yet cause i have i have a set of CBR600RR(40mm) and CBR1000(42mm)cause i do have the mesurament for my D16a6 which will be 13"-13.5" which you if add 2.5" from the deck of the intake side to the center of the valve ithat will give me 15.5" for;

Input length is 16 inches
For 2nd harmonic, RPM range is from 7342 to 8910 with a pulse strength of 10 percent
For 3rd harmonic, RPM range is from 5517 to 6305 with a pulse strength of 7 percent
For 4th harmonic, RPM range is from 4301 to 4810 with a pulse strength of 4 percent

Re: so i'm getting one step closer to....

Sounds like you've got it figured out. Here is a great read for figuring overall length and sizing as well.
